Serving the first digital customer in a digital first world
Digital transformation is a matter of survival. To meet customers where they are, brands need to go digital and fast.
The death of the 2-3 year digital transformation project – If this is one thing the pandemic has taught us, it’s that “digital” is not the only valid outcome of digital transformation. With the future of the economy uncertain and the need to focus on creating opportunities, 2021 is the year to accelerate the time to value and deliver meaningful results. When IT managers and CIOs assess how to build their technology stacks for 2021, the primary focus can no longer be just digitization. Now, speed of implementation, cost, and time to payback help keep pace with customer and market change. What is different going forward is the way performance is measured. It’s time, it’s value for the organization and customers, and also competitiveness. A long-term view is of course essential, but you need to start seeing the value of digital transformation projects within months, not years, to be deemed successful. There isn’t really an end state in digital transformation now. It’s about progress, agility and operational innovation and digital business model, now and as trends continue to evolve. – Brian solis
