(This is the transcript of our new video, so it may not read as well as a normal blog post would)
Hi my name is Joaquin and I am the paid media manager at Koozai. And what I’m going to show you today is a really quick and easy method on how to mass edit a lot of your ads. Now, when you start creating ads on your Facebook Ad account, you might come to a point where you might have quite a few ads to serve. You could have 100, maybe 200 ads. Some accounts can even display between 500 and 1,000 ads at the same time. While it is recommended to have as few ads as possible, this allows you to condense the sets into one. You might get to a point where you just have a lot of ads and you have to run them all at once and it can be quite frustrating to change them all one by one. So there is a really really simple method that you can use on Facebook Ads. And it’s as easy as hitting the Edit button. But I’ll show you the process. So when you are in your ad manager, if we go directly to the ad set by clicking on each campaign you want. Obviously you can go to the ad units and then let’s say we want to edit a few ads from those. We will check off those ad units and get into the ads. Now I only have a few here, just to show you what you can do with just a few ads. Obviously if you have hundreds of them the same rules apply and all you have to do is you can either highlight everything or you just want to change a few, say for example we want only change these three, you can press the little drop-down arrow which is right next to the edit button and you can click find and replace. Now with find and replace you can edit multiple things at the same time. So if you just need to change the name of the ad you can easily do that or if you need to change the post of the title or even just the general caption you can definitely change that too and you can edit too UCM parameters or URL. So instead of going one by one on each ad, all you have to do is highlight the ads you want to change, click the drop down menu, find and replace and you will be treated with this little window. here. So let’s say we have titles. We want to change our titles or the message. Let’s go for the URL. And what you can do here is that it’ll tell you everyone’s url and let’s say there’s a certain word you want to change, say for example it’s PR. This will highlight PR, and then we’ll replace it here at the top. So change PR to, and let’s just go social. All you have to do is click save in draft and that’s it. This is a very easy way to change UCM settings or if you have an error in your url. Now there are a lot of other things you can do as well, for example, let’s say you’re on the ad unit and want to change the budget for all the ad units you’re currently running. You go here and you can then click on Budget. Now that doesn’t leave me at the moment because I have a bid cap set on them and the campaigns are also disabled, but it’s a very easy way to change that. So you can also add spending limits or if you need to change something in particular like audience and be it age or gender just enter here and it will give you all the names of all ad units. and then you can change the names if you want here or you can change the ages. Now here you can also change other things like start date or if you need it to end on a particular date for example our announcements are currently running. They are deactivated but they are currently in progress. And you can just change it. So you click on End and you can select the time and date you need. And it’s that easy. A lot of people just change everything one by one. And I would only recommend doing this if you need to be 100% sure it’s 100% correct. Because I fully understand when you create ads and sometimes you can make a few little mistakes here and there and it is possible. I do it, everyone does it. But all you need to do is be able to do it and instantly change them if the error is on multiple ads. But yes, I hope it will help you with your advertising and marketing and if you have any other questions please let us know.
